Kids Ministry

FBC doesn’t want children to know the names of the books of the Bible or be able to recite some verses. FBC wants children to understand the overview of the story God is telling through people, prophets, and Jesus Christ. This is God’s message to humanity, and it remains our inspiration thousands of years later. Jesus said, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven” (Matt. 19:14).

Youth Ministry

Let’s start with the objective: ensuring that youth know how to read and study the Bible. This can be accomplished with young people through various methods, such as storytelling and interactive activities. Asking the students “What” questions, such as, What does the scripture passage say to you, What does the scripture teach, and Now what do you do with what you have learned? Also ask, What is it that depicts God’s love for you or reflects how God has changed your life since you became a follower of Christ? How could God change your life if you haven’t yet placed your faith and trust in Jesus? These questions and more are explored in the youth ministry. Men’s Ministry

What does it mean to be a Christian? Most people live their lives and never know “WHY”! They go on existing with no idea of why they live, or what God’s purpose is for their lives. The most basic question a person can ask is, “What is the meaning of my life?” People try to find happiness in many places: some look for it by acquiring possessions. Some look for happiness by experiencing pleasure. Some look for happiness by gaining power and prestige. But real happiness comes from understanding one's purpose. Come, let us explore your purpose and ask God to reveal His purpose for you.

Women’s Ministry

Music Ministry

The purpose of the Music Ministry is to exhort, uplift, and encourage the body of Christ through song and worship. The Music Ministry encompasses the Praise Team, adult choir, and youth choir. Members of the Music Ministry must be faithful members of the Tree of Life Christian Ministries. They must strive to live according to God’s will and purpose and be on one accord in mind and heart according to the word of God. “Praise ye the Lord. I will praise the Lord with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.” Psalm 111:1.

New Member Ministry

New members to Christianity often try various ways to come closer to Jesus and the kingdom of heaven, but they do it in all the wrong ways. For example, believing that because their mother was a Christian, so are they, or it doesn’t matter what you think, just be sincere, or I will give up all my bad habits, or I will work hard and earn it through good works, or I will go to church often. The solution is to believe in the good news of Jesus Christ, “that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved (Rom. 10:9, NKJV). Come and let us explore the Bible together.

Senior Adult Ministry

The Adult Ministry is a comprehensive program that supports individuals' growth in faith and faithfulness as Christians. Adults who participate actively in the full range of worship, learning, and service opportunities through the church reach a deeper level of spiritual health for themselves and the community. Adult ministry certainly does not have to be complicated. It is a spiritual journey, and others are welcome to join the pilgrimage. This means that adult ministries are so much more than social gatherings; they are opportunities to participate in something greater. Come and see at FBC what the UP class is all about!

Vacation Bible School

July 2026. Adults who attended VBS have overwhelmingly positive memories of the experience. 69% of American parents will encourage their child to participate in a VBS event at a church they don’t attend if invited by one of their friends. If you total it up, VBS results in 15 hours of intense discipleship, the gospel being shared daily, and 7 months of ministry in just one week. IT’S WORTH IT!

Five Church Fellowship

Several members (pastors, deacons, and clergy) from five Pittsburg County churches gather on the third Thursday of every month to fellowship, share stories, discuss events from each church, enjoy a hearty meal, sing worship songs, and hear a devotional by the hosting church. A different church hosts the event every month.

Men’s Retreat

The Men’s Retreat is an annual event held in the Arbuckle Mountains of Oklahoma at Falls Creek Conference Center, reaching men from all backgrounds and interests. It is one of the only retreats where you will see a biker, cowboy, hipster, gamer, and businessman standing together in worship as the great tribe of Christian men. The focus is on transforming men's lives through a relationship with Jesus Christ.

The Oklahoma Baptists Men's Retreat is April 24-25, 2026.

Women’s Retreat

The Changed Women’s Retreat is an opportunity for any woman, no matter what age or stage of life, to get away from the demands of the world and press in closer to Jesus. Closer to Him, where we can begin to see ourselves as He sees us. To the place where we begin to understand that our identity is in Christ and not what the world says we could or should be. The place where we feel loved, cherished, and pursued by God. The confidence that comes from knowing and believing these things empowers us to play our irreplaceable role in this world. The event will be held in Stuart, OK, from Thursday, March 26 (7:00 PM) to Sunday, March 29 (12:00 PM). For more information, go to https://www.changedokc.com/.
